The Great Barn
This was the Great Barn at Harmondsworth which we completed for English Heritage. This project was completed with solid oak battens and each handmade tile was hung on two oak pegs. It is the biggest and oldest barn in the country. It was built in 1426 by Winchester College and was briefly in royal ownership but was later passed down to three families who used it for agricultural purposes until the 1970s.
